War of the Worlds

The War of the Worlds is a fire and dance performance which develops the
original 1938 broadcast by Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre on the Air
into a live dramatization of H.G. Wells' book. Excerpts from the broadcast
will be layered over original music composed for the production and unique
costumes will be fashioned to portray the distinctive characters. The cast
will consist of skilled dancers and fire performers from the Ann Arbor and
Detroit areas. This hour-long presentation will prove to be an extraordinary
experience for both cast and audience as fire and dance are intertwined into
a spectacular show.
