"reflective bands" [fa.00 sp. 01]
clear vinyl constructions with mirrors wrap the arm and leg, to reflect and intensify interaction between wearer and immediate environment. evolved into an investigation into invisible worlds that we move through without our knowledge or consent [transmissions and waves]. a device worn on the body becomes, through use of imaging and sensors, a "map" and "compass" to orient oneself in a constantly changing geography that cannot be seen or sensed; and has a protective shield that activates as one passes through this geography

"vending machine of addiction" [fa.00-sp.01]
[collaboration with eun mi lee and angelica sandoval]
in constructing a "vending machine" we explored consumption by addressing (stripping) branding + observing a range of habits / addictions present in various types of people and within ourselves. we imagined a vending experience activated by transparency and light, that could be reconfigured as a "kit of parts" to fit each vending location [entry vestibules of buildings]
