| MBO5 is the Detroit-based project of Matt Borghi and Odyssey.5ive (a.k.a. Michael Kirson Goldapper). Matt Borghi uses a variety of ambient soundscapes and various other bits of collage-like sound art to form the foundation of a work and the pieces are built up and brought to life by the vocoder-infused rhythmic flare of Odyssey.5ive. MBO5 is slowly gaining recognition for their experimental and eclectic "live" work, where they combine dense rhythms with spacey floating soundscapes to create an otherworldly sonic experience. MBO5's music has been compared to Air, Radiohead, The Chemical Brothers, and Moby.
